The Marksman's Ascension
Most people go to the range.
Few truly train.
The difference isn't how many rounds you fire—it's whether every round has a purpose.
Marksman's Ascension is a four-week defensive pistol training program designed to transform random range sessions into structured, measurable practice. Inspired by the relentless discipline and martial traditions of a certain futuristic dystopian 8ft soldier guys, this program challenges you to earn every improvement through objective standards, accountability, and purposeful repetition while throwing in some codex level nerd flavor.
Over 8 structured training sessions, you'll develop the skills that matter most:
- Accurate shot placement
- Efficient draw stroke
- Recoil management
- Target transitions
- Speed without sacrificing precision
- Shooting under time pressure
- Performance at distances out to 25 yards
Every session follows the same proven structure:
- Mission Briefing to establish the day's objective
- Litany of Accuracy to build precision
- Battle Drill to develop core defensive skills
- Trial of Stress to challenge performance under pressure
- Final Judgment to evaluate progress
- After Action Review to identify strengths and weaknesses
Unlike most shooting programs, Marksman's Ascension doesn't ask you to guess whether you're improving.
Every drill includes measurable performance standards with three achievement levels:
- Green Standard – Mission Capable
- Gold Standard – Veteran Performance
- Ascension Standard – Elite Performance
Complete the program by passing the Ascension Test, a 50-round qualification that determines your final rank:
- Initiate
- Battle Brother
- Veteran
- First Company
- Chapter Champion
Whether you're a new concealed carrier looking for structure or an experienced shooter seeking a repeatable training protocol with a bit of nerdy artistic flare, Marksman's Ascension provides a clear path toward greater consistency and confidence.
